In this key role, you will have responsibility for leading business growth initiatives to assist in expanding robotic-assisted spine surgery to the standard of care. The Operating Unit is one of the largest businesses and is redefining cranial and spinal procedures to reduce variability and improve outcomes with the goal of restoring long-term quality of life for more patients.

This unit is comprised of global businesses including Spine and Biologics offering full procedural solutions for spine surgery and bone grafting solutions for spinal fusion. Enabling Technologies deliver an innovative portfolio that includes advanced imaging, navigation, robotics, customized implants, and pre-operative planning aided by artificial intelligence.

You will work as part of a team striving to lead the market in products, services to patients, customers, and management of neurological and spinal conditions.

A Day in the Life

In this position, you will have comfort working with spine surgeons, hospital executives, and have a proven track record of success developing markets in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry. You will possess strong process-oriented core competencies to help identify best practices, ways to improve processes and find ways to best promote and share those processes throughout the country. At the same time, you are able to recognize the best way to adapt and integrate best practices for the introduction of the robotic-assisted platform at a clinical level.

  • Be a therapy expert and product champion.
  • Collaborate with Leadership on the creation and dissemination of strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with physicians, hospital executives, and service line administrators to increase awareness and clinical pathway development for robotic-assisted spine surgery.
  • Guide use of targeted resources and programs to execute business growth initiatives in identified sites.
  • Partner with Sales Teams to develop and implement action plans for identified sites as well as developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including surgeons and hospital staff.
  • Collaborate with Leadership to create and manage action plans regarding the identification, development, and partnership of Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Participate in targeted Association and Society Events related to Business Growth areas of opportunity.
  • Communicate the value proposition to key accounts to drive branded selection of therapies and services.
  • Work with local marketing and sales organizations on the execution of effective training and education events.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of competitive products to promote Medtronic products vs. the competition.
  • Communicate developments in techniques and technologies, impact of programs, competitive activities, and customer response back to the Business Unit. Coordinate with the wider CST team to achieve overall business goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business management, or related discipline.

- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical setting. Preferably in spine.

- Demonstrable track record of developing business plans and goal setting. Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.
