As a Workplace Health Lead, you will play a key role in implementing new health initiatives and ensuring the safety and compliance of employees and operations. You will oversee and manage all aspects of health and safety programs, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
**About the Role**:
We are seeking an experienced professional to spearhead our occupational health and safety efforts. Responsibilities include fostering a culture of health and safety comprehension, effective risk management, and maintaining a secure work environment. Additionally, you will provide comprehensive training, facilitate worker involvement through consultation processes, and establish systems for incident management.
**Key Skills & Qualifications:**
- Tertiary or vocational qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety
- Solid understanding of OHS and workers' compensation legislation, standards, and practices
- Prior experience coordinating and delivering OHS programs
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Passion for representing the interests of and improving working conditions across all levels
