Procurement Manager

About the Role:

The Procurement Manager will oversee and manage procurement activities, conducting purchasing and contract formation activities from initial proposal through delivery. They will be responsible for negotiating contracts with customers, ensuring maximum benefit to the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project-related procurement to ensure compliance with terms, including schedule and scope of work
  • Negotiate contractual documentation with customers, working directly with a cross-functional team
  • Prepare contract reviews and reports on issues
  • Ensure effective filing and accurate record-keeping of contracts and agreements

This role includes drafting contractual agreements and subcontracts; editing terms and conditions and flow-down requirements to subcontracts based on prime contracts consistent with company policies. You will interact with, confer, brief, and make recommendations to management regarding the progress and impact of potential contract and subcontract-related activities.

You will be responsible for all subcontract incoming and outgoing correspondence and resolve issues regarding subcontractor performance, including claims, changes, and terminations. You will also ensure contract and subcontract filing is managed effectively and accurate records are kept.

Observing all legal/regulatory compliance requirements and practices for assigned responsibilities, you must remain current on legal/regulatory updates affecting contracts and agreements.

Additional duties include managing contract-related documentation and processes, assisting in the development and implementation of processes and procedures to support contracts, maintaining positive relationships with customers, professional advisors, partners, and suppliers, and ensuring preparation and settlement of project invoicing, variations, and other claims where required.
