Job Overview

The Procurement Specialist role is a key position that drives purchasing initiatives and maintains strong relationships with suppliers. This individual works closely with internal departments to ensure seamless operations and develops positive relationships with suppliers.

This role reports to the Head of Procurement and is based in Karawatha, Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and process purchase orders using company systems.
  • Conduct daily checks on incoming goods to ensure high-quality standards are maintained.
  • Collaborate with demand planning and production teams to align purchases with daily production plans and forecasts.
  • Manage stock replenishment, focusing on product shelf life.
  • Develop key supplier relationships to secure ongoing stock deals.
  • Liaise with all departments in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support the preparation and processing of RFIs and RFPs to procure value-for-money solutions.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience working in a busy environment as a Purchasing Officer or Buyer, preferably within the FMCG sector.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
  • A strong background in inventory management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly accurate with a strong attention to detail.
  • A positive 'can-do' attitude.
