A vital member of the emergency services team, our Emergency Response Coordinator works closely with healthcare providers and operations staff to deliver critical support to the community.
Main Responsibilities- Answer emergency calls and provide essential guidance before paramedics arrive.
- Coordinate ambulance deployments and patient transport movements effectively.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Show ability to de-escalate high-pressure situations and empathize with callers.
- Maintain a strong commitment to customer service through professional behavior and attitude.
- Stay up-to-date on technical aspects of the role and relevant policies.
- Pursue ongoing education through courses or tertiary study.
- Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to assess patient needs and determine the best course of action.
- Maintain overall well-being to safely perform EMD duties.
- Hold current Provide First Aid Certificate (with CPR component).
- Complete Certificate III and IV in Ambulance Communications within 12 months.
