Job Summary

The Manager, NDIS Governance and Policy is responsible for driving Victoria's co-governance of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and leading on NDIS legislative and policy development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shaping Victoria's positions on NDIS legislative and policy issues.
  • Supporting engagement at intergovernmental levels to negotiate national positions.
  • Analysing and providing advice on draft policy intent and draft legislative amendments in collaboration with DFFH and DPC legal teams and VGSO.
  • Responding to recommendations related to the NDIS from the NDIS Review and the Disability Royal Commission.

Working Relationships:

  • Leading a small team.
  • Collaborating closely with the Disability Reform team to address the current disability reform agenda that includes reform to the NDIS.
  • Working with a broad range of stakeholders within the department, across the Victorian Government, across jurisdictions, and with the Commonwealth.
