Role Overview

The Senior PMO Commercial Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting the finance team throughout the project lifecycle, from business case development to reporting and governance. This position will be part of the Finance team, contributing to the achievement of strategic priorities and fostering a high-performing culture.

Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with portfolio managers to drive financial forecasting for large projects.
  • Present financials, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders.
  • Assess project profitability and alignment with MUFG Pension & Market Services goals.
  • Ensure robust processes are in place for accurate and timely project reporting.
  • Adhere to MUFG Pension & Market Services policies when accounting for projects.
  • Work with Project Managers to address adverse variances.
  • Drive and support the planning, project forecasting, and accounting of large projects.
  • Participate in the month-end process and other ad-hoc tasks as required.
  • Collaborate with the Business Planning and Analysis and Financial Control teams.
  • Work closely with project and portfolio managers in the PMO office.
  • Establish robust governance and control through accurate and timely project reporting.
  • Highlight commercial project risk considerations and insights to internal stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to drive innovation and improvements in processes, products, and services.
Experience and Personal Attributes
  • At least 5+ years of project accounting experience, including financial accounting.
  • Essential experience in or knowledge of project accounting, financial standards, process reengineering, strong MS Excel modeling skills, and management and financial reporting.
