The Women's and Children's Health Network is seeking a highly skilled Multidisciplinary Clinician to join our team in the Northern Country region. This role will be responsible for providing clinical services to children, adolescents, and their families with mental health issues.

About the Opportunity

  • We are looking for a clinician who can work collaboratively with other professionals to provide assessment, education, counseling, and group work essential components of care.
  • The successful candidate will have extensive clinical experience in treating complex child and adolescent mental health issues.
  • They must demonstrate ability to conduct mental health assessments and therapeutic interventions of a complex nature with children, adolescents with emotional and behavioral difficulties.
  • A strong understanding of best practice healthcare delivery, current policies, and procedures related to mental health services is also required.
  • This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to providing South Australia's women, babies, children, and young people with the best possible healthcare outcomes through patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Accept accountability for the outcomes of clinical practice for children, adolescents, and their families with mental health issues.
  2. Ensure optimal consumer care by focusing on achieving the best possible health and recovery outcomes for consumers.
  3. Use clinical knowledge, skills, and experience in providing direction, support, orientation, and education to other staff members.
  4. Involving consultation and liaison with other professional disciplines and non-governmental organizations to support consumer care.
  5. Leading and participating in action research projects, quality improvement activities, and policy development within the practice setting.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree/registration/qualification for respective discipline.
  • Extensive clinical experience in treatment and management of complex child and adolescent mental health issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct mental health assessment and therapeutic interventions of a complex nature with children, adolescents with emotional and behavioral difficulties.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work with individuals and families for positive mental health outcomes and to foster productive working relationships across disciplines.
