Job Title: Risk Analyst

Leading an investment manager requires a strategic and analytical mindset. This role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure the best outcome for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding portfolio financial risks and providing daily risk metrics and commentary to the portfolio management team.
  • Developing tools to assist with trade idea generation.
  • Maintaining system stability and data quality.
  • Setting up new market curves and securities in the systems.
  • Assisting with ensuring existing data, curves, and security static is accurate.
  • Continuous improvement of business processes.
  • Conducting analysis to answer ad-hoc queries related to portfolio performance and risk attribution.

Key Requirements:

  • Tertiary degree in finance, mathematics, computer science, or related fields.
  • Additional qualifications such as a Master's degree or CFA in finance are highly valued.
  • Knowledge of financial markets specifically derivatives and fixed income.
  • Curiosity and an open mind.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, Matlab, and Excel.
  • Strong mathematical, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Identify and solve problems with the ability to implement long-term fixes.
