Caregiver in Maternal Health

The role of a Registered Midwife is to provide high-quality, woman-centred care during pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period.
This involves managing a caseload of women, consulting with obstetric staff and providing evidence-based midwifery care in accordance with national standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide quality antenatal care, including risk assessment and management
- Lead births in partnership with women, using an individualised approach
- Manage postnatal care, including breastfeeding support and discharge planning
Requirements:
- Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration as a Registered Midwife
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
- Recent experience in antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal care, lactation and infant feeding
- Able to work independently and within a team environment
