Senior Development Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Development Manager to join our team at Green Recruitment Company. As a key member of our renewable energy development team, you will be responsible for delivering a viable pipeline of renewable energy projects in Australia through to the construction stage.
Key Responsibilities- Renewable Energy Project Development: Identify and develop greenfield renewable energy opportunities and lead Australian renewable development strategy and pipeline origination.
- Site Feasibility and Planning: Develop plans for taking sites through their feasibility studies by onboarding consultants/contractors for environmental surveys and wind monitoring.
- Land Acquisition and Negotiation: Negotiate and secure property agreements with landowners to develop, construct, and operate renewable energy projects.
- Stakeholder Management: Maintain effective communication with the project team and all external stakeholders and government agencies, including community engagement.
- Progress Reporting: Prepare and present progress reports to senior management.
- Team Supervision: Supervise and coordinate Development Managers through the planning and environmental approvals process for Solar, Wind, and BESS projects to secure all third-party consents.
- Education: Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 9+ years of development experience in the renewable energy sector.
- Renewable Energy Expertise: Experience developing renewable energy projects within Australia.
- Development Process Knowledge: Understanding of the development process including site identification, constraints analysis, grid connection, and permitting process in Australia.
- Site Selection and Viability: Knowledge of the key drivers influencing site selection & viability of utility-scale renewable energy projects.
- Risk Management: Knowledge of commercial and technical risk management and mitigation.
- Analytical and Organizational Skills: Excellent analytical & quantitative skills and organisation & planning.
- Flexibility: Flexibility to travel interstate.
