We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at Yooralla, Victoria's most established and recognised for-purpose disability service provider.
About the RoleThis rewarding role involves providing support to adults with disability in their homes and occasionally in the community. You will work closely with individuals to implement personalised plans that address their unique needs and goals.
- Support Clients with Daily Living Needs: Assist with meal preparation, personal hygiene, and mobility, ensuring their independence and dignity.
- Facilitate Community Participation: Encourage clients to engage in activities and events that promote social interaction and community integration.
- Implement Personalised Plans: Work collaboratively with clients, families, and carers to develop and implement tailored plans that achieve their goals and aspirations.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will possess a positive approach, initiative, and self-motivation. You will also have effective communication skills, good English literacy, and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team.
You will be required to obtain a First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certificate if you don't already hold one. A Certificate IV in Disability or relevant work experience is highly regarded, but not essential. We provide excellent training and support to ensure your success in this role.
