About the role

The Process Improvement Manager is accountable for ensuring compliance between industrial instruments and HR/Payroll functions.

The role will be responsible for implementing new and/or improved processes and ways of working to meet the needs of the business.

A key responsibility of the role is reviewing findings and delivering agreed actions from the recent internal and external Compliance audits.

This role is critical in ensuring UPA has rigorous compliance processes in place.

This is a 12-month fixed-term position.

The person we seek will ideally have the following

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Audit or another related field
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in process improvement, project management or compliance, including Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and execute projects independently
  • Ability to distil information and map complex processes into simplistic methods
  • Confident and tactful written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective consultation, negotiation and rapport-building skills
  • Ability to thrive in a team-based environment whilst in a stand-alone function
  • Ability to use sound judgement and influencing techniques to attain desired outcomes
  • Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
