Community Palliative Care Physiotherapist

Mercy Health is a community-based palliative care service providing in-home care to individuals of all ages with life-limiting illnesses. Our services cover the West Metropolitan region of Melbourne.

We provide holistic care to patients and their families, addressing their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.

You will be an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team caring for palliative care patients in their own homes. You will deliver high-quality physiotherapy services using a patient-centered approach.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing quality physiotherapy services to patients and their families
  • Working collaboratively with our team to deliver exceptional patient-centered care
  • Supporting patients and their families through challenging times

Requirements:

  • Registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in community palliative care (desirable)
  • Excellent clinical, time management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Compassionate, flexible, and positive approach to patient care
  • Ability to foster friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment

Additional requirements:

  • Current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check
  • Unrestricted driver's license
  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders
