About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Officer to join our team at NSW Strategic Services and Advice. As a key member of our legal team, you will provide strategic, client-focused legal advice and services to support the accelerated delivery of homes and other strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert legal advice on property law, commercial law, and real estate development matters.
  • Lead Departmental negotiations and drive outcomes while effectively involving stakeholders throughout the process.
  • Support the Principal Legal Officers and Directors to drive the vision and direction of the teams.
  • Motivate, mentor, and supervise junior members to deliver on initiatives and goals.
  • Contribute to a highly collegiate and supportive team culture.
Requirements
  • Admitted or qualified for admission as a Solicitor or Barrister in the Supreme Court of NSW.
  • Hold, or be eligible to hold, a NSW Practicing Certificate.
  • Strong property law background and experience in providing comprehensive legal advice and support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and stakeholder management skills.
