Senior Systems Administrator

Opus Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join their team in Sydney, Australia. As a key member of the IT department, you will play a critical role in enhancing the company's infrastructure, services, and security initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the IT systems environment, including modern Microsoft technologies.
- Continuously improve the company's security operations and increase Essential 8 compliance.
- Develop and deliver business-aligned technology roadmaps.
- Oversee and develop a proactive security framework.
- Cultivate relationships with teams and stakeholders.
- Effective leadership and mentoring of junior engineers.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Systems Administrator.
- Demonstrated hands-on security experience - Essential 8, XDR, Defender, SIEM.
- Technical proficiency across the MS stack - M365, EntraID, Azure.
- Experience with broader infrastructure (Servers, Storage, Virtualisation).
- Experience securing environments - Firewalls, Vulnerability Management.
- Experience with project delivery.
- Knowledge of industry best practices such as ITIL.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
