Projects Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Projects Engineer to join our team in Leonora, Western Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our workplace by identifying and addressing hazards.

  • This includes monitoring site activities, participating in improving safety, and completing reporting requirements.

The role also involves planning and scope development for all site projects, delivering successful project outcomes, and developing contract documentation. Additionally, you will conduct risk assessments and design reviews on engineering and infrastructure options.

  • You will review all engineering drawings to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and clients to ensure business needs are met during scoping, planning, execution, and handover of site projects.
  • Assist with construction supervision and ensure all construction activities comply with quality standards.
  • Contribute to budget planning, forecasting, and cost reporting.
  • Ensure control and delivery of capital expenditure and project scope in line with our company's capital approval process.
  • Manage effective use of resources to support delivery of the Projects team objectives.
  • Develop and manage project schedules to ensure project outcomes align with our operational plans.
  • Maintain a project tracking system with dashboards that allow milestone timing and costs to be reported and forecast, and critical issues to be identified and managed.
  • DIRECT and lead project engineers, supervisors, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to achieve project deliverables.
  • Contribute to building an effective Projects team.

  • A minimum degree or diploma in Engineering is required, preferably in Mining, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical.
  • Prior experience working within a mining environment is essential.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role is desirable.
  • A minimum three (3) years of experience in design/project management is necessary.
  • A current unencumbered West Australian C Class Manual Driver's Licence is required.
