As a key member of our Business Services team, you will lead investigations, manage high-profile events, and drive innovative crime prevention initiatives.
This role offers you the opportunity to shape the university's security culture, influence policy decisions, and contribute to a safe environment for learning and research. You will work closely with senior leaders and other stakeholders to develop strategic security initiatives and provide expert advice on risk analysis and mitigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement crime prevention strategies to safeguard the community and assets.
- Lead investigations into criminal activities, liaising with law enforcement agencies as needed.
- Manage security arrangements for special events and VIP visits, ensuring safety while maintaining reputation.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality security training and awareness programs for stakeholders.
- Conduct security reviews and provide expert advice to mitigate risks and threats to safety.
Requirements:
- Seasoned security professional with extensive experience in law enforcement or a similar field, possessing strong investigative skills and ability to develop strategic security initiatives in a complex organisational environment.
- Demonstrate expertise in criminal investigations, evidence gathering, and witness interviewing.
- Show strong skills in risk analysis and security planning for major events.
- Possess excellent communication skills for engaging diverse stakeholders and delivering training.

- Demonstrate leadership abilities in managing critical incidents and motivating teams.
