Senior DevOps Strategist Role

We are seeking a seasoned DevOps Strategist to spearhead our digital transformation initiatives in Melbourne. This pivotal position requires someone who can navigate the complexities of DevOps methodologies and implement them across various departments.

About the Role:

  • Drive business growth by aligning DevOps practices with organizational goals, ensuring seamless collaboration between teams.
  • Promote cultural change by fostering a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging Agile and DevOps methodologies to drive innovation.
  • Cultivate strategic partnerships to ensure successful project delivery, partnering with stakeholders to define project scope and timelines.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to inform business decisions, identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in leading DevOps teams, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Deep understanding of architecture design principles, including network architecture, storage solutions, security models, and scalability considerations.
  • Hands-on expertise in automation and orchestration, proficiency in CI/CD pipeline design using tools like Jenkins, GitHub or Bitbucket, and infrastructure-as-code practices with Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, and/or Terraform.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret system performance data, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimal resource allocation strategies.
  • Knowledge of systems performance analysis and troubleshooting, as well as strong problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with performance optimization techniques, including resource allocation, load balancing, and capacity planning.
  • Experience in security and compliance, with knowledge of authentication, authorization, managing secrets, and access controls.
  • Proven ability to foster a collaborative environment, enhance team communication, and encourage knowledge sharing among team members.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
