About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Systems Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to build the foundations for some of the most ambitious work happening in AI right now.

This role requires a strong background in distributed systems, cloud platforms, and infrastructure at scale. The successful candidate will have proficiency in Python and experience with ML/AI tooling such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.

As a key member of the team, you will design, build, and maintain distributed systems that support large-scale ML research. You will also develop robust tooling to accelerate experimentation and model training.

The ideal candidate will be able to work closely with researchers to integrate infrastructure solutions into their workflows. Additionally, they will proactively identify bottlenecks and create scalable solutions for long-term growth.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the technical direction of the lab and enable breakthroughs in agentic AI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement distributed systems that support large-scale ML research
  • Develop and maintain robust tooling to accelerate experimentation and model training
  • Manage and optimize compute infrastructure (cloud and on-prem)
  • Partner with researchers to integrate infrastructure solutions into their workflows
  • Identify and resolve performance issues to ensure efficient system operation
Requirements
  • Strong background in distributed systems, cloud platforms, and infrastructure at scale
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with ML/AI tooling (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or similar)
  • Familiarity with containerisation, orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience supporting high-performance computing environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
