The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Double Bass tutor to join our established Strings team. As a key member of our music department, you will be responsible for teaching instrumental lessons to primary and secondary aged students, as well as contributing to the recruitment and retention of instrumental students. Your expertise will be invaluable in nurturing relationships with music students across our campuses.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality instrumental lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
- Collaborate with the Head of Strings to develop and implement the school's music program
- Provide performance opportunities for Double Bass students
- Attend concerts, soirees, and sectionals as required
- Proven experience in tutoring within a school music program
- Ability to engage and motivate students of primary and secondary age
- Knowledge of Double Bass repertoire and ability to prepare students for AMEB examinations
- Hold or be willing to obtain an Employment Working With Children Check
