Job Overview

The successful applicant will oversee daily operations, directing linehaul networks and collaborating with service providers to meet client needs. This involves identifying areas of improvement to achieve cost efficiency.

  • Task allocation: Coordinate daily tasks with relevant service providers.
  • Network strategy: Contribute to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive GT network strategy.
  • Compliance and safety: Ensure operations adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements for staff and environmental protection.
  • Business tracking: Collaborate with the Linehaul Manager to create and implement business improvement strategies.
  • Cost optimization: Implement measures to increase revenue or reduce costs through effective transport management.
  • Performance monitoring: Utilize KPIs to track network performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

This includes interacting with operational sites to ensure timely freight delivery within service specifications and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

To be considered, applicants must possess:

  • Experience in Transport and Logistics Management.
  • Sound knowledge of state metropolitan, rural areas, and major road routes within Australia.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder/customer management, and planning skills.

Bonus consideration will be given to candidates with knowledge or previous experience in Ground Transport operations.
