Digital Collections Preservation Specialist

The Digital Collections Analyst will work within the Digital Curation team to develop and support workflows and processes for the acquisition and ongoing stewardship of born-digital collection material.
- Develop and implement policies, guidelines, business rules, processes and procedures for acquiring, managing, preserving and providing access to digital collection material.
- Collaborate with suppliers/owners of digital material to ensure acquisitions meet appropriate specifications and guidelines.
- Prepare born-digital material for ingestion into the digital preservation system and troubleshoot ingestion issues.
- Applied knowledge of international standards and best practice relating to preservation of digital materials in a library or archive environment.
- Experience in the use of collection management systems, web-based technologies and databases for ongoing stewardship of born-digital collections.
- Capacity to work effectively with software tools used in digital preservation workflows.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience managing born-digital collections.
This is a temporary full-time role with a possibility of extension. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and contribute to the development of the Library's digital collections.
