Regeneration Assistant Role

This is a pivotal role within our Sustainability and Environment team, focused on natural area rehabilitation.

The Regeneration Assistant will be responsible for establishing and maintaining revegetation sites, conducting maintenance tasks, and constructing coastal and waterway infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the establishment and maintenance of natural area revegetation sites
  • Undertake maintenance duties in Council's riparian projects nursery
  • Conduct construction and maintenance of coastal and waterways infrastructure
  • Tree planting, light construction, and equipment operation
  • Weed identification and management
Requirements
  • Minimum TAFE Certificate 3 in Conservation and Land Management or similar qualification
  • Vehicle and Boat Licences
  • Experience in light constructions and operation of light machinery and tools
  • Competency in herbicide use
  • Physical fitness for remote and rugged locations
