Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Dispatch Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our dispatch team. This permanent position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and the ability to lead a team to achieve timely order fulfillment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day supervision of the team, ensuring efficiency and accuracy are maintained and all key performance indicators are met.
  • Develop process improvement plans in line with the company's strategy.
  • Audit processes and document control, reporting on findings and recommendations to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Liaise with production teams, customer service, and Yatala Warehouse operations to execute or plan against daily movements and urgent requests.
  • Maintain records of work performed to facilitate accurate invoicing of clients and payment of employees.
  • Investigate instances of service failure or loss of/damage to goods, developing remedial action to prevent recurrence.
  • Responsible for managing operating expenses and wages within budget constraints.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar Dispatch or Warehouse environment within a Team Leader or Supervisor role.
  • Prior experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Logistics Industry.
  • Ability to balance commercial, operational, and functional requirements.
  • Strong commercial data reporting presentation skills.
  • Good understanding of data extraction and evaluation.
  • Customer Service focused, analytical skills, and process-oriented.

About the Role

This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary of AU$65,000 - AU$85,000 per annum, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will be required to meet Visy's employment criteria, which includes a criminal history check and pre-employment medical (including drug & alcohol testing).
