Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for a junior accountant who is ready to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Aid in the timely and accurate production of management reports, including commentary for various business units, analysis on sales, inventory, pricing, and costing variations, material usage.
  • Help with the reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts, including inventory and fixed assets across the group.
  • Work with existing systems to develop and improve current reporting and analysis.
  • Assist with the completion of operational/CapEx budget and assist the team as required.
  • Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts.
  • Investigate revenue-generating/cost-saving opportunities, analyze potential ROI, and pursue/action where appropriate.
  • Monitor revenue/cost and margin targets.
  • Investigate new or more effective business processes and utilize technology effectively.
  • Help develop and maintain financial policy, standards, and procedures documentation.
  • Help develop and maintain standard work instructions for standard tasks within the finance department.
  • Conduct and monitor reviews to ensure procedures are adhered to.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience:

  • Exposure to MRP systems.

Skills:

  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, energetic, results-driven, and goal-oriented.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to learn and proceduralize various standard tasks performed by other members of the finance team.

Education:

  • Tertiary qualifications in finance, commerce, or business.
  • CPA or CA qualified or nearly qualified.
