Job Description

We are seeking a highly organised and self-driven Air Quality Specialist to join our team in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking air quality impact assessments, liaising with clients and internal stakeholders, and preparing proposals and project management plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake air quality impact assessments for a variety of clients across Australia.
  • Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to grow our offering in Air Quality.
  • Prepare proposals, budget estimates, project management and delivery of air quality projects.
  • Work cooperatively with SLR staff across Australia and New Zealand on a range of Air Quality and multidiscipline projects.
  • Work within local regulations and with local regulators to deliver the above.
Requirements
  • University qualifications (bachelor's degree or higher) in Environmental Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years' experience as an Air Quality specialist and preferably within a consulting environment.
  • A high level of understanding of the local regulatory environment and best practice air quality assessments methods and analysis.
  • Proficiency in air quality modelling software (, TAPM, AERMOD, CALPUFF, GRAL), GIS applications, and data analysis tools (Excel).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Be able to work independently with support from the wider SLR Air Quality team and other SLR disciplines as required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Relevant certifications such as CAQP are highly desirable.
