Excellence in Guest Experience

The Front Office Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional guest experiences from the outset. They oversee all aspects of front office operations, ensuring the department is set up for success and creates a warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the front office department, including guest check-in/check-out processes, room allocation, handling guest inquiries, and managing reservations.
  • Hiring and training front office staff to ensure they possess the necessary skills to deliver outstanding service.
  • Overseeing the setup and integration of technology such as property management systems and point-of-sale systems to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Contributing to the development of strategies to further enhance the guest experience through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure adequate inventory of essential items and liaising with suppliers and vendors as necessary.
  • Managing day-to-day staffing needs, planning and assigning work, establishing performance and development goals for team members, and providing regular feedback.
  • Serving as a liaison between the front office department and other hotel departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
  • Conducting trial stays and testing front office procedures to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
  • Collaborating closely with the sales and marketing team to develop promotional materials, packages, and campaigns.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or Business Administration.
  • Three years of guest service/hotel experience, preferably in a management capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and passion for developing and motivating teams.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to explore new ways of working.
  • Full working rights in Australia without restrictions.
