About the Role

Arup is seeking a highly skilled Traffic Engineering Discipline Lead Associate to join our NSW/ACT Transport Planning team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading the Traffic Engineering pillar and driving business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Traffic Engineering pillar and promote learning opportunities from successes and problems that arise.
  • Meticulously monitor project progress and interdependencies, offering expert technical guidance and fostering knowledge sharing among teams.
  • Oversee and drive all business development initiatives, including the identification of new opportunities and the execution of comprehensive strategies in collaboration with senior management.
  • Proactively gather and address stakeholder feedback and expectations, orchestrating seamless collaboration with public relations and communication teams to uphold the organization's image.
  • Spearhead stakeholder meetings, workshops, and consultations, measuring and reporting on stakeholder engagement effectiveness and satisfaction to guide future engagement strategies.
Requirements
  • Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil engineering, Transport Planning or similar area.
  • Relevant transport planning, traffic engineering & infrastructure integration experience within a consulting business environment.
  • Proficiency / understanding of software including AutoCAD, SIDRA, Aimsun and VISSIM.
  • Relevant experience in multi-modal infrastructure planning, transport impact assessments, active travel and development planning particularly in NSW/ACT.
  • Proven ability to grasp business dynamics, making informed decisions to drive growth and success by integrating market insights.
