Practice Management Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Practice Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership group, you will be responsible for facilitating change, delegating tasks, and developing initiatives to drive the success of our practice.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in practice management, with at least 2 years of experience working within the medical environment. They will possess formal qualifications in health administration or practice management, and have a solid understanding of health and safety policies and procedures.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and is able to motivate and lead a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will also have experience with practice management software and IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the front reception desk
  • Drive productivity and efficiency within the clinic
  • Plan and monitor staff rosters, overtime, and leave
  • Liaise with doctors to facilitate practice environment
  • Manage complaints process
  • Induction and training of new staff
  • Manage staff performance and recruitment
  • Risk assessments and identified hazards to implement corrective action
  • Actively support marketing efforts
  • Reporting and forecasting
  • Lead customer service excellence within the team

Requirements:

  • Experience in practice management or similar
  • At least 2 years working within the medical environment
  • Formal qualifications in health administration or practice management
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and lead a strong team
  • Business mindset to drive growth and innovation
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Experience with practice management software highly desirable
  • Proficient in IT software systems
  • Solid understanding of health and safety policies and procedures
  • Experience with Medicare, private billings, and debt collection
