Tunnel Site Engineer Position

The North East Link Project is a significant infrastructure development in Melbourne, Victoria, aimed at improving the city's freeway network. The project involves the construction of twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads.
The OpportunityWe are seeking experienced Site Engineers to join our SEM Tunnels team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in tunneling and join an established team passionate about helping you grow your skillset. As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for providing on-site engineering support, monitoring key construction requirements, and implementing corrective actions to ensure project objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities- Development and management of daily cost reporting
- Providing on-site engineering support to achieve project objectives
- Monitoring key construction requirements and implementing corrective actions
- Site mobilisation and setup for SEM works, including plant procurement and installation experience and piling
- Writing method statements, risk assessments, and preparing site records
- Coordinating and administering construction engineering activities to ensure projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs, and specifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, or Mining Engineering
- Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage but not essential
- Specific experience of Tunneling/SEM excavation techniques
- Previous experience in a similar role
