The North East Link project is a significant infrastructure development in Melbourne, Victoria. The Central Package of the project has been awarded to The Spark Consortium, comprising Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction, and China Construction Oceania.
This partnership will deliver the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project, as part of a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. The PPP provides a unique opportunity for experienced engineers to contribute to this iconic project.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Tunnel Site Engineer to join our SEM Tunnels team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing on-site engineering support to achieve the project's objectives.
- Development and management of daily cost reporting
- To provide on-site engineering support to assist in the achievement of the required objectives of the project
- Monitoring key construction requirements and implementing prompt corrective action if required, to ensure they are achieved in line with agreed specifications
- Site mobilisation and setup for SEM works, including plant procurement and installation experience and piling
- Writing method statements, risk assessments, and preparing site records
- Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs, and specification
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural or Mining Engineering
- Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage but not essential
- Specific experience of Tunneling/SEM excavation techniques
- Previous experience in similar role
