We are seeking an experienced educator to join our team as a Senior Lecturer in Nursing. The successful candidate will be an endorsed Nurse Practitioner with demonstrated expertise in contemporary nursing practice and a strong track record in facilitating both undergraduate and postgraduate education.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD degree or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the relevant discipline areas. They will also hold current endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with the appropriate regulatory body and have current or recent participation in clinical practice as a nurse practitioner.
The Senior Lecturer will be responsible for coordinating courses or subjects, providing a high-quality learning experience that engages students through lectures, tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions, clinical sessions and/or other sessions in online, blended or face-to-face modes.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate courses or subjects providing a high-quality learning experience
- Design innovative and effective curriculum which reflects developing best practice nationally
- Demonstrate effectiveness by taking an evidence-based approach to evaluate learning and teaching initiatives
- Demonstrate a scholarly approach to learning and teaching by contributing to the institution's Scholarship of Learning and Teaching (SOLT)
The Senior Lecturer will make a substantial contribution to the School's research profile in nursing, actively engage with local healthcare partners, and conduct high-quality research leading to publications in top-tier academic journals and with leading publishers in the field.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- PhD degree or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession
- Hold current endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Current or recent participation in clinical practice as a nurse practitioner
- Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, curriculum development and subject coordination
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, as evidenced by sustained high results on student feedback on teaching surveys, teaching excellence awards or through other forms of evidence.
The Senior Lecturer will be based at a campus location and will be required to hold a valid employee working with children check prior to commencement.
