Job Title

A highly skilled and experienced Academic is sought to join our team as a Nursing Lecturer.

  • The successful candidate will have expertise in contemporary nursing practice and a strong track record in facilitating both undergraduate and postgraduate education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate courses or coordinate and teach subjects providing a high-quality learning experience that engages students through the conduct of lectures, tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions, clinical sessions and/or other sessions in online, blended or face-to-face modes.
  • Design innovative and effective curriculum which reflects developing best practice nationally, utilising various methodologies including online and blended learning.
  • Contribute to the School's research profile in nursing, actively engage with local hospital partners, and conduct high-quality research leading to publications in top-tier academic journals and with leading publishers in the field.

Requirements:

  • PhD degree or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline areas.
  • Hold current endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Current or recent participation in clinical practice as a nurse practitioner.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, curriculum development and subject coordination with a commitment to excellence in teaching, as evidenced by sustained high results on student feedback on teaching surveys, teaching excellence awards or through other forms of evidence.
