Academic Nurse Educator

About the Role:
The School of Nursing seeks an accomplished Academic Nurse Educator with a proven track record in facilitating both undergraduate and postgraduate education. As an endorsed Nurse Practitioner, you will leverage your expertise in contemporary nursing practice to design innovative curricula reflecting developing best practices nationally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate courses or teach subjects providing a high-quality learning experience for students through lectures, tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions, clinical sessions, and other online, blended, or face-to-face modes.
- Develop and implement effective curriculum utilizing methodologies such as online and blended learning.
- Evaluate learning and teaching initiatives using evidence-based approaches and guide others towards taking an evidence-based approach.
- Contribute to La Trobe's Scholarship of Learning and Teaching (SOLT) by sharing good practice through conference and seminar presentations.
Requirements:
- PhD degree or equivalent accreditation and standing recognized by the University/profession as appropriate for relevant discipline areas.
- Current endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Participation in clinical practice as a nurse practitioner.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, curriculum development, and subject coordination with a commitment to excellence in teaching.
- Able to encourage intellectual development and career aspirations of students.
