About the Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Finance Professional to join our Finance Shared Services team as a Senior Accountant. This role presents a unique opportunity to lead continuous improvement, engage with business partners, and mentor team members/direct reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Holistic P&L and Balance Sheet review and analysis for specific areas
  • Preparation of Financial Statement Analysis notes to the Woolworths Financial Statements at HY and FY
  • Review of reconciliations and ensuring reconciliations are prepared in accordance with the Balance Sheet Guidance Note
  • Communication of risks/opportunities to stakeholders
  • Drive and leave continuous improvement to add value for our business partners
  • Ddeliver insightful analysis and recommendations to business partners
  • Maintain an effective understanding of business and reporting considerations
  • Mmaintain stakeholder relationships
What You'll Bring
  • Finance-related degree with CA or CPA qualification.
  • 5+ years relevant accounting experience, exposure in retail/large corporate will be advantageous.
  • Strong experience using financial systems in a commercial environment . Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, macros), Google Suite, SAP, BPC, GCP.
  • Able to communicate complex financial information to a broad audience; able to make the complex simple.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to synthesise large amounts of data from a variety of sources
  • Strong presentation and storyboarding skills
