Job Role

The role of a Driver Mentor is pivotal to our organisation's success, focusing on driver development and support.

This position involves guiding drivers to maintain the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mentor and support drivers to improve performance and professional development
  • Conduct training sessions and refreshers on driving standards
  • Monitor driver performance and provide constructive feedback
  • Assist with the onboarding and induction of new drivers
  • Ensure accurate records of mentoring activities are maintained
  • Collaborate with the driver team admin to ensure all documents are up to date
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a professional driver (HGV/Trade Plate experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of driving safety and road regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, approachable, and confident in mentoring others
  • Highly organised with attention to detail
