Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Fleet Management System (FMS) Specialist to enhance our Technology Operation department. This newly established role is pivotal in providing technical guidance and support to our Mining, Mine Control, and Technical Services teams, ensuring the Fleet Management System operates efficiently and is optimally configured to improve mining processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation and continuous operation of the Fleet Management System to guarantee high availability and proper functionality.
  • Deliver direct user support and operational advice to the Mine Control and Technology Operation teams.
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and testing of hardware and software.
  • Manage vendor relationships and support.
  • Create training materials and work instructions related to the Fleet Management System's operation and maintenance.
  • Conduct functional testing of system updates to ensure continuity and identify potential business risks before deployment.
  • Monitor product roadmaps and lifecycle plans to align with business needs and expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Mine Technology team to schedule equipment servicing and repairs, minimizing downtime.
  • Proactively analyze FMS performance, driving enhancements in line with evolving business requirements.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree or Trade certificate in a relevant field (Mining, Computer Science, Electronics) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with MineStar vendor training and/or practical involvement in technology implementation or upgrade projects within mining environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in operating and troubleshooting Fleet Management Systems, particularly MineStar, along with familiarity in hardware and software configuration, installation, and maintenance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively address technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey information clearly to various stakeholders, including Mine Control personnel and technology teams.
  • A current WA Driver's Licence; HR preferred.
