Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Fleet Management System (FMS) Specialist to enhance our Technology Operations team. This pivotal role will focus on providing expert technical support and ensuring the seamless operation of our Fleet Management System, which is crucial for optimizing mining processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation and ongoing functionality of the Fleet Management System to guarantee high availability and optimal performance.
- Deliver direct user assistance and operational guidance to the Mine Control and Technology Operations teams.
- Facilitate the installation, configuration, and testing of both hardware and software components.
- Manage relationships with vendors to ensure effective support.
- Create training materials and work instructions related to the Fleet Management System's operation and maintenance.
- Conduct functional testing of system updates to maintain continuity and identify potential business risks prior to deployment.
- Monitor product development and lifecycle plans to align with business requirements.
- Collaborate with the Mine Technology team to schedule equipment servicing and repairs, minimizing downtime.
- Proactively analyze FMS performance and drive enhancements to meet evolving business needs.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree or Trade certificate in a relevant field (Mining, Computer Science, Electronics) or equivalent experience.
- Experience with MineStar vendor training and managing technology implementation projects in mining environments is highly desirable.
- Advanced proficiency in operating and troubleshooting Fleet Management Systems, particularly MineStar, along with familiarity in hardware and software setup and maintenance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively address technical challenges.
- Excellent communication skills to convey information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- A current WA Driver's Licence; HR preferred.
