Job Title: Inventory Management Specialist

The newly created Inventory Management Specialist position plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations nationally. This role contributes to timely and accurate entry of parts information, processing of purchase orders, and maintenance of procurement-related data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and update parts catalogues ensuring accurate part numbers, descriptions, and specifications are entered into inventory system.
  • Plan and schedule Freight and Sales in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and update existing data management systems.
  • Work with suppliers and manufacturers to confirm part details, availability, and changes.
  • Liaise with freight companies and drivers regarding transport related matters.
  • Follow up on purchase orders with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts.
  • Identify and resolve delays in the supply chain.
  • Manage quality administration practices.
  • Manage and action all incoming communications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A can-do attitude with the ability to take ownership of this role.
  • Strong attention to detail in tracking and reporting.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience within Mining, FMCG or the manufacturing sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP or procurement software systems.
  • Understanding of supply chain processes, vendor management, and order timelines.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
