Job Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Environment and Release Specialist to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of environment provisioning and release management across multiple test and pre-production landscapes.

The successful candidate will ensure environments are stable, secure, and available for delivery teams, while managing release schedules, configuration governance, and environment integrity.

A core part of this role is establishing and maintaining a governance framework for deployment and release management, as well as driving ongoing improvements across environment practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the full lifecycle of non-production environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Staging), including provisioning, configuration, refreshes, and monitoring.
  • Plan and coordinate deployments of code, configuration, and infrastructure, ensuring quality gates, rollback strategies, and compliance are in place.
  • Maintain environment schedules, configuration documentation, and communication on outages, changes, and release calendars.
  • Act as the main point of contact for environment and release needs, balancing competing priorities and resolving conflicts across teams.
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely provisioning, maintenance, and release readiness.
  • Conduct audits, reviews, and post-implementation assessments to improve processes and strengthen governance.
  • Drive automation, standardisation, and best practice adoption across environment and release activities.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience in environment and release management within complex enterprise settings.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and testing lifecycles.
  • Experience across on-premises and cloud (AWS/Azure) environments.
  • Skilled with tools such as Jenkins, Git, Jira, ServiceNow, and monitoring platforms.
  • Strong vendor management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of ITIL (Release, Change, Configuration Management).
  • Desirable: ITIL v3/v4 certification, Agile/DevOps practices, regulated industry experience.
