Job Title: Courier

We have an excellent opportunity for a motivated and flexible individual to join our team as a casual Pathology Courier Driver in Melbourne.

This role involves driving vehicles throughout the metropolitan and surrounding areas to pick up pathology samples from customers and deliver them to our scientists, pathologists, and technicians for processing in our laboratory.

The Pathology Courier team is a vital link in providing our clients with high-quality service, making you the face of the company to many valued customers.

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • A full driver's license and clean driving record
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to follow routes and time schedules as provided
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced/time critical environment
  • Capacity to load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate our delivery vehicle
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including Monday-Friday (days or evenings) and Saturdays
  • Ability to use a phone, apps, and follow Google maps
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and use initiative
  • Physical capability to manage a minimum of 30 stops per day and getting in and out of a vehicle
  • Professional presentation and attitude
  • Strong work ethic, and be reliable and dependable
  • Ability to work autonomously and harmoniously within a team environment
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills

Duties for this role include but are not limited to:

  • Driving
  • Manual handling up to 10kg
  • Customer service
  • Collecting/Receiving goods
  • Cleaning the vehicle
  • Computer input
  • General housekeeping
  • Online learning
