Job Title: National Disability Employment Specialist
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a National Disability Employment Specialist. This role will involve working closely with individuals with disabilities to help them achieve their employment goals and aspirations.
About the Role:
The National Disability Employment Specialist will be responsible for providing high-quality support to individuals with disabilities, helping them to develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the workplace. This may involve developing individualized support plans, conducting job readiness assessments, and facilitating group training sessions.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Building positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Providing expert guidance and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them to overcome barriers to employment
- Developing and implementing effective support plans that meet the unique needs of each client
- Collaborating with other professionals, such as employment specialists and job coaches, to ensure seamless support services
- Staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in disability employment
- Ensuring accurate record-keeping and data management to inform service delivery and evaluation
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a range of skills and qualities, including:
- A passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and helping them to achieve their goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working in the disability employment sector, preferably in a similar role or with a relevant qualification
- Knowledge of disability employment legislation and policy, including the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
