**About Your Role**:
DSA is seeking a dedicated Employment Consultant to join our team on a **6 month contract** based at our Kingsgrove site within our supported employment ADE. You will be responsible for providing vocational support and training to support our participants in employment. Exceptional interpersonal skills are vital in this role, as you are required to build rapport with our supported employees to ensure their employment goals are met in line with their NDIS plan.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist employees with pre-vocational skills training including assistance with inducting new employees to the worksite.
- Match employees to appropriate jobs and tasks, according to their interests, abilities and the needs of the job/task.
- Provide ongoing vocational support and training to support existing employees to build job skills;
- Develop individualised training plans and deliver/facilitate individual and group learning activities and training.
- Maximise employee's participations in the workplace
- Liaise with, employers, government and non-government agencies on behalf of our employees.

**About You**:
We are looking for someone who has extensive knowledge of a range of disabilities and how they may impact on employment and the work environment. Therefore, it is essential that you are an excellent listener with strong attention to detail. Ideally, you have prior experience supporting people with disability, or have worked in a similar environment/role, and understand what it truly means to be person-centric It is also important that you are a passionate and driven individual who has the ability to exceed key targets and support our participants to reach their full potential. Most importantly, you have a passion for the sector and relate to our mission and values.

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge of the NDIS Disability Service Standards.
- Experience in assessing, training, and supporting people with a disability.
- Current NSW Driver's Licence (P2 and above) and your own motor vehicle.
- Certificate IV in Disability or relevant qualifications/experience.
- Compliance req's: NDIS Worker Check, WWCC, vaccine passport or medical exemption.

This role sits within our **Packaging Solutions** division. Packaging Solutions is an Australian Disability Enterprise providing meaningful direct employment for people with a disability and provides third party supply chain solutions for local, national and international businesses. We pack and label products for more than 70 business customers each year, which gives our employees the opportunity to work with some of Australia's leading brands.
