Job Opportunity: Assistant Principal of Learning and Teaching Innovation
We are seeking an experienced educational leader to join our team as the Assistant Principal of Learning and Teaching Innovation.
This key role is pivotal in advancing the school's teaching and learning standards, with a focus on driving continuous improvement in educational practices across the College.
- The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of innovative learning strategies to enhance student outcomes.
- They will provide coaching and mentoring to teachers to improve their practice and achieve high-quality student outcomes.
- Collaboration with teachers and other staff members will be essential in developing and implementing effective programs that cater to diverse student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- The role involves supervising and coordinating the work of senior curriculum or level coordinators.
- The successful candidate will allocate resources within the area of responsibility, including budgets and positions of responsibility.
- Supervision of the delivery of teaching programs is also a critical aspect of this role.
- The candidate will be responsible for managing programs to improve the knowledge and experience of staff.
- General discipline matters beyond the management of classroom teachers and year-level coordinators will also fall under their responsibility.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in education or a related field is required.
- Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching is also necessary.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities are also crucial.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum design and implementation is highly valued.
