About This Role:

This is a newly created position responsible for driving business development strategy and execution in the Australian market. You will build and lead our go-to-market team, including management responsibility for BD team members.

You will define, refine, and execute our overall playbook for success in commercial and industrial, and small front-of-meter markets.

The target candidate has proven success in a similar role, demonstrated experience in building relationships, developing complex projects, and getting jobs done in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Leading the rollout of our new AC1 system in Australia, already underway, and benefiting from unique funding mechanisms for early adopter customers.
  • Refining our strategy and market positioning, building partnerships with established players in the market who can benefit from and contribute to our success.
  • Building and converting a pipeline of opportunities for the AC1 (and future products) with leading developers, utilities, and large organisations.
  • Selling our value proposition during technical and commercial procurement processes to win against competitors.
  • Ensuring delivery on 'More energy', working with leadership to build project delivery, asset operations, and customer success capabilities.
  • Thinking critically to identify better ways to deliver value to customers, including novel finance and energy services models that leverage our technology advantages.
  • Work with our marketing team to define, manage, and execute the right marketing plan for Australia.
  • Work closely with our Product team to ensure the needs of the Australian customer are fully considered within our product roadmap.

 

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Demonstrated experience in renewable energy development and/or significant experience in selling and delivering complex C&I energy projects.
  • A deep understanding of practicalities from a developer, financier/owner, C&I business or OEM perspective.
  • Proven ability to get jobs done – achieving ambitious objectives, closing complex deals, and hitting business targets.
  • Experience working in a small team where resourcefulness and problem-solving were paramount.
  • A strong existing network in the Australian renewable energy ecosystem.
