Market Growth Leader

This is a high-performing role in our Client & Market Growth team, critical to our success. The Market Growth Leader will drive business development and marketing strategy for our industry groups, executing profitable growth opportunities and leading market positions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the industry strategic plan, aligning with firm strategy and collaborating with key partners and the broader CMG team to unlock profitable growth for our business and clients.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Industry Leader, community of industry partners, consultants, and lawyers (Industry Leadership Team), and the CMG team to connect people from across the business and demonstrate leadership and direction by bringing teams together to deliver Industry priorities.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) with presence in and deep understanding of the industry, including key matters and deals and how they are initiated, stakeholders and influencers, industry players/issues, competitor landscape, client footprint, and market position.
  • Catch mentors and lawyers with strategic business development advice.
  • As industry centre of information/SME, lead pitches and collaborate with Client Market Growth Business Unit colleagues to apply those industry insights to bids where they are the SME.
  • Drive client conversations to ensure client intelligence is maintained, relationships are nurtured, and service excellence is upheld.
  • Identify opportunities across business units and priority areas, clients, and geographies and support the formation of cross-business unit teams to pursue opportunities and strengthen pipeline in an integrated and coherent fashion.
  • Qualify and be responsible for the development of high-quality client-facing materials and precedents with compelling value propositions, working alongside our Centre of Excellence and Major Proposals team.
  • Collaborate with the brand/marketing team to validate, design, and deliver client and market engagement strategies. Prioritize industry objectives through the delivery of integrated marketing campaigns, including events, thought leadership, sponsorships, and industry partners focused on bespoke, unique client experiences that differentiate the MinterEllison brand.
  • Establish internal and external networks and create strong connectivity in a matrix structure. Demonstrate leadership qualities by setting the standard for best BD practice, sharing insights, being a powerful collaborator, mentor, and representative of the CMG/Industry team with gravitas and understanding.
  • Apply a commercial lens to industry and client development by understanding levers of profitability and reporting on financial performance to enhance decision making. Manage resources effectively and within budget.
