
Administrative Support Specialist

This role is for a detail-oriented individual to provide high-quality administrative support to the Medical Services Team.
Main Responsibilities- Ensure accuracy and efficiency in managing credentialing documentation and maintaining compliance throughout every stage of the process.
- Assist with medical staff onboarding, including AHPRA requirements and liaison with Group HR for completion of pre-commencement paperwork and checks.
- Provide secretariat support for the Scope of Practice Committee including preparing and distributing committee papers, minute taking, facilitating action items and assisting as relevant.
- Coordinate timely registration of Medicare billable provider numbers to ensure doctors have a billable number before each term commences, liaising with junior doctors and Medicare.
- Coordinate timely registration of Health Funds for all applicable doctors to ensure compliance before each term and manage billing registration issues as directed.
- Escalate doctor non-compliance when obtaining provider numbers and health fund registration paperwork to the Medical Administration Manager.
- A customer-focused attitude with the ability to use initiative and organise clerical tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with flexibility and teamwork.
- Experience in credentialing senior medical practitioners within a fast-paced hospital setting (employed, contracted, or VMOs) is ideal.

- A competitive salary range of $85,508 to $87,204 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
