Curriculum Development Specialist

RMIT University is seeking an exceptional individual to fill the role of Senior Curriculum Specialist (Indigenous). This position presents a unique opportunity for an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander candidate to contribute their expertise in curriculum development, assessment, and technology-enhanced learning.
About the Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for embedding Indigenous knowledges into RMIT's academic programs and courses. Key objectives include developing dedicated training, ensuring academic and professional staff possess sufficient capability to effectively handle Indigenous content when working with students, and leading conversations with executive-level leaders to create impactful solutions.
Essential Requirements
- A high level of capability in curriculum development, assessment, or technology-enhanced learning using Indigenous knowledges perspectives
- An understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people
- A high level ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples
- Experience with relationship management, consultation, and liaison skills to communicate effectively at all levels
- The capability and commitment to continue to develop Indigenous perspectives in the curricula
- Experience in high-level reporting and analysis, with the ability to write and present concisely and effectively
- Proven organisational and project management skills and the ability to prioritise work, work to deadlines, and undertake several parallel projects
Compensation Package
We offer a competitive salary of $124,474 per annum, plus 17% Superannuation. The successful applicant will also have access to a comprehensive benefits package, including opportunities for career growth and professional development.
