About the Role

The Learning Designer will play a key role in supporting academic and teaching staff to design, develop, and deliver high-quality curriculum in new and amended programs. This involves working collaboratively with Academic Development Group colleagues and School teaching teams to create innovative and fit-for-purpose learning activities and resources based on curriculum requirements for contemporary higher education settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop learning experiences that cater to diverse student needs and promote academic excellence.
  • Collaborate with academic staff to integrate technology-enhanced learning strategies and pedagogies into curriculum design.
  • Develop and maintain digital learning resources, including multimedia content, to support student learning outcomes.
  • Provide instructional design expertise to support the development of student-centered learning experiences and resources.
  • Contribute to the development of academic policies and procedures related to curriculum design and delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in learning and assessment design, digital pedagogies, and educational innovation.
  • Strong skills in instructional design, curriculum development, and project management.
  • Knowledge of digital learning principles and practices, as well as current and future trends in digital learning technologies.
  • Experience in developing digital learning resources, including video and multimedia production techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with academic staff and other stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
